Kelly European

Kelly European Freight was established in 1997 by brothers Adrian and Patrick Kelly. Their thriving flower business needed a reliable method of transportation from their depot in Holland to their warehouse in Ireland. Having been frustrated by the unreliability of local transport companies they decided that the only way to get it right was to do it themselves.

In the beginning the company only had one unit, one trailer and three members of staff dedicated to the transport business. In striving to provide that reliable service that they required, they found that other businesses also wanted their goods transported using a company with a fine attention to detail and the ability to get it there when they needed it. From this they have grown steadily and now have a fleet of twenty one units, thirty trailers, twelve rigid lorries and vans and forty staff. The fleet is made up of a mixture of fully maintained Scania, DAF and Volvo tractor units with twenty nine fridge trailers and one curtain-side trailer with plans to extend this fleet in the coming years.
