Westdijk

In the early 70s, three Westdijk brothers – Teun, Tom and Nico started the business, renting earthworks, tipper and low loader transport in the local area surrounding Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands. After a short spell, they decided to sell the excavator and concentrate on transport. Money from the sale was invested in a low loader, which turned out to be a wise move. The company was asked to move more and more machinery in the area around their hometown and further afield, and by the turn of the century, the low loader fleet consisted of 12 low loaders.

Today, the company has a modern fleet of 75 trucks and 150 trailers for special and heavy transport. The special and heavy department operate a large selection of trailers to enable us to provide our customers with Bespoke transport solutions for any load: extendable flatbeds, semi-low loaders up to 10 axles, multi axle low loaders, rail trailers, modular trailers consisting of 90 axle lines with drawbars, bolsters and various inter-changeable bed configurations enabling us to provide the perfect trailer combination for your cargo up to 450-tonne.
