Very special name for Eddie Stobart vehicle

The Stobart Group have a brand new Volvo on the road in the form of PX08 CZC with a very special name on the front of the vehicle. This vehicle was named after Carly Louise Fairhurst who is the daughter of Trevor and Sheila Fairhurst from Wigan. Their daughter died in February 2006 as a result of domestic violence from her boyfriend. Carly would have been 21 in April 2008.Trevor and Sheila have since channelled their energies into supporting the endangered counselling services provided by Wigan Victim Support and Witness Service which were so helpful to them in the aftermath of their bereavement. They have already raised more than £17,000 and their work has now earned them a nomination in the Manchester Heroes Awards. Also a charity fund has been set up – The Carly Fairhurst Memorial Fund – in her memory to assist Victims Support and Witness Service for parents affected by this type of tragedy to receive professional help and counselling. The fund is supported by the boxer Amir Khan and the cricketer Sajid Mahmood.
