Convoy !

Yesterday evening saw a police escorted convoy of a “score” of 20 Eddie Stobart trucks from Carlisle Airport to Whitehaven Harbour. This was in celebration of the 2007 Maritime Festival of which Eddie Stobart Ltd is the event partner.

The convoy left Carlisle Airport at 5.30pm arriving in Whitehaven at approximately 7.00pm. Roundabouts and junctions on the route were traffic controlled by the police to ensure all 20 trucks stayed together. The planned journey followed the route of Carlisle Airport – M6 Junction 44 – M6 Junction 40 – A66 – Whitehaven.
