Remembrance Sunday

In memory of my dear late Nan's three eldest brothers, Ernest,Harold and Tom all from the Devonshire regiment and volunteers who all died on the same day 25th September 1915 at Loos in France. Also killed in action on that same day were Fergus Bowes-Lyon brother of the late Queen Mother and John Kipling son of Rudyard Kipling. It always upsets me to think that they only found the body of Tom, those of Ernest and Harold are in the corner of a foreign field far away.We also remember all other people killed and injured on active service for their country.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
