Inaugral M Way versus Evans Transport 5 a side

Saturday saw the inaugral 5 a side footy contest between M Way Transport and Evans Transport at Northam in North Devon. It was a keenly contested match with M Way emerging the ultimate victors at 6-5, however for the whole of the first half and up and till 5 minutes from the end it was Evans Transport all the way seemingly unstoppable. A post match interview with Nick Way revealed that at early doors he thought his lads had it and his captains decision to go 3,1,1 ultimatley paid dividends. Nigel Denford for Evans Transport was magnanimous in defeat but mentioned that a depleted squad through injury had not helped his cause together with the fact that the M Way player with the No 1 shirt did employ some dubious defending tactics which he was going to approach FIFA with, he said "Gouging shouldn't be condoned at this level of football it could leave someone visually challenged for life"
