Eddie Stobart Limited official press release

Eddie Stobart Limited has now moved into brand new offices in Appleton Thorn.

The new 16 acre site is ideally situated close to Junction 20 of the M6 and Junction 9 of the M56. As well as the brand new 2 storey office complex, it will comprise of 145,000 sq ft of warehousing space, 220 trailer and 80 tractor unit parking bays, a new vehicle maintenance workshop, re-fuelling for up to six trucks simultaneously and vehicle wash facilities.

Appleton Thorn will replace the existing transport site at Kingsland Grange and the regional office at Haydock. It will offer a central control facility for Eddie Stobart’s general haulage fleet.

Chairman, Andrew Tinkler commented, “We are fully committed to providing the necessary facilities to allow Eddie Stobart to grow. Both our newly purchased Carlisle Airport and Appleton Thorn premises will become key sites for the future development plans of the company.”

The move is expected to be completed over the next few months with trucks operating out of Appleton Thorn by November 2006.
